Teacher guide: reading class reports — gradebook, heatmap and one-click reteach
The reports page is your lesson-prep cockpit: use the student-by-topic heatmap to find class-wide gaps, let the reteach list decide next lesson, and copy a parent brief in one click.
Once marking is done, Reports is where lessons get planned. Top to bottom:
Class summary and gradebook
Pick a class (owning teachers land in their own class) and optionally one assignment/paper. The summary card shows class average, median, high/low, submitted / to-mark and the missing-submission name list — chase-ups without opening each student.
The gradebook lists every student's marks per question. Click a student name for their individual report; click a question number to drill into everyone's answers and common error causes. Export CSV from the corner.
Student × topic heatmap: class gaps at a glance
Rows are students, columns are topics (ordered by class-wide marks lost), coloured red/amber/green by mastery. A red column = a class-wide gap worth reteaching; a red row = one student who needs attention.
Reteach list and one-click paper
Questions the class scored under 70% on, plus the weakest topics, are collected into the reteach list — that's your next lesson's agenda. "Assemble paper" turns them into a reteach paper you can assign immediately, closing the loop: mark → find gaps → reteach → verify.
Empirical difficulty (p-values)
In item analysis, the p-value is your own students' measured correct rate, shown against the AI's difficulty estimate. "Recalibrate" writes it back to the bank so future papers are better balanced.
What to show parents
Open a student's report and hit "Parent brief": one screen of their trajectory, milestones, effort and weak topics (same data the parent sees), copied as text in one click for WeChat/WhatsApp. Parents can also follow along via their share link: How parents read the report.
